peia alexander “Winning Season”

PEIA ALEXANDER was born in Chicago and raised in BedStuy, Brooklyn.  She grew up surrounded by music.  Her father ran the New York City night-life and her step-father was a DJ and a publicist.  She learned everything she could from her dads.  She even served as an assistant to them when she came of age.

PEIA knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a singer.  “I could never imagine being anything else. Music is my first love, my passion, my therapy.  It truly makes me happy!”

She learned to play the guitar at 3 years old and recorded her first song at 16 years old.  “The grind and long journey I’m on to achieve success has humbled me. But I have never lost my hunger, that’s the key.”

PEIA is heavily influenced by Tina TurnerBeyonceTuPac and Prince. “If Chaka Khan and Prince had a love-child, it would be me! (Laughing) I love making people smile and dance.”

When asked to describe her sound, PEIA says, “My music fuses rock, house music and hip-hop with deep lyrics and metaphors that relate to others and are thought-provoking.  I’m a Chicago girl with a Brooklyn twist so I have a unique sound.  There’s literally no other artist like me and I mean that it the most humble way.”

A natural born fighter, PEIA has been battling Multiple Sclerosis for many years. She is determined not to let her affliction hinder her from making her dreams a reality.

“I believe that music has the power to effect change and make people feel good.  I know it definitely lifts my spirits when I’m going through an episode.  If I can make one person smile and forget their troubles, I’ve accomplished something.”

PEIA is currently wrapping up production on her debut EP “BUNNY” which will be released winter of 2018.  Stay tuned for the lead single, “Winning” ft. CP Da Ruler.
